Short history of the house
The building of the Apartamentos Monasterio de San Antonio was build about the year 1800. For about 17 years it was a nuns convent of the Capuchin Poor Clares with mother house in Madrid. The nuns worked in the hospital which you could still find down the road. When the clients care was moved to another order, the nuns moved out and the building was used as a manor house. In about 1925 the last residents moved out and the decay started. Udo Simon bought the house in 1996 and restored it. In 2011 another renovation was done.
